Americans, including me, think commonly of Hawaii's volcanoes but not of those of Alaska. Within this Park are two of Alaska's volcanoes. This is Mt. Redoubt's cone's fumaroles spewing volcanic gases on a very clear day. Mt. Redoubt is the higher and most recently erupted of the two. Taken on a flightseeing tour on June 21, 2012, a beautiful clear day. What a treat, my first time seeing a real volcano and the cone at that no less!
