We stayed in the Garnet Mountain Lookout Tower in S.W. Montana on a beautifully clear night. Around 11pm lights started to form on the horizon, within minutes the Northern Lights were dancing across the entire northern horizon. I can't think of a better place to take in the Aurora than in an old fire lookout.
