While driving to the Flamingo area, we noticed a crowd of retirement-age people taking photos at the edge of a pond. We pulled over to see what they were looking at, and my five year old son ran up with his kids' digital camera and joined them. There was a crocodile (not a gator) along with a variety of birds. Much to our surprise, our son must have been paying attention to the ranger talks we had gone to, because he started naming the types of birds, impressing the older crowd.
