We made our first trip to Carlsbad Caverns this November, a 6 hour drive from our home in Albuquerque. We were mystified by the sheer beauty and scale of the Big Room, we adults were as entranced as our second-grader and preschooler. A plan to return and explore the lower caves are in our future! :)
