It was our annual family vacation. My daughter had learned about the Anasazi/ Ancestral Puebloan native in school and wanted to go see some of the ruins. It was a considerable hike for my little ones to reach the Seven Kivas. This photo captures the fascination and wonder of my children while peering into the remnants of an ancient Anasazi dwelling, that had been built more than 900 years before, and then suddenly abandoned, leaving behind only a mystery and shards of pottery and corn cobs.
