Perched on the edge of a 600 foot cliff, Mesa Arch overlooks the Island in the Sky region of Canyonlands National Park. Off in the distance is the Washer Woman rock formation. During the previous night a light dusting of snow fell which quickly melted in the suns morning rays. It was a chilly 13 degrees that morning which left a few patches of snow on the base of the arch formation.
