This is Lake McDonald, the largest lake in the Western part of the park at about 9 miles long. As I explored the beach taking in the awe inspiring views, the sun began to set behind me on this crisp, early February day in 2012. The alpenglow on the Garden Wall in the background was truly stunning, like I have never experienced here before. These colors are un-edited and continued until it became too dark to capture an image. Amazing
