American dippers frequent the shorelines of the rivers, streams and lakes throughout Colorado. While taking photos of the sunrise across Brainard Lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness, this little American dipper decided to check out what I was doing. He perched himself on the log in the photo and posed so very nicely against the colorful sunrise.
