This wild pony was born in early 2012 on Assateague Island in Maryland. Sharing the island with human visitors, Sika Deer, Eagles and many other marsh inhabitants, these ponies have flourished for many, many years. I have visited this place since I was a child and this was the first time I had seen a pony this young. It is great to see that they are still thriving in our world today.
