Glaciers'1930's vintage red buses carried visitors up and over the Going to the Sun Road for the next 60 years, racking up 600,000 miles each. They were taken out of service in 1999, but strong private and public support brought a newly renovated fleet of nearly three dozen back to the famous road in 2002. Note the stone rubble masonry culvert allowing Haystack Creek to access the depths below. It is one of four completed in time for the opening date of June 15, 1929, for the western portion.
