I was in the Mammoth area of Yellowstone National Park and came across a herd of elk who were bedded down taking an afternoon rest. The bull was trying to sleep with his antlers rocking from side to side, due to their weight. I watched him for a bit, in amusement, when his head finally came to rest on one side. He then continued to doze in the afternoon shade he and his ladies found.
