"Peekaboo" - A reddish egret appears to be looking at its reflection on the water's surface. Actually, reddish egret are highly active and skilled hunters. Here the egret is hunting for fish at sunrise along a tidal flat. By creating shade with its wing, it is better able to see and snatch prey beneath the water's surface.
