Watching the sunrise on Christmas morning at 11.000 feet was spectacular. We were staying at the Fowler Hilliard Hut which is part of the 10th Mountain Hut System. The fact that my - always-sleep-till-noon son got up before dawn to hang out with his mom was a gift ~ along with the splendor of the magnificent mountains.
