This photograph, taken with a Nikon D60 and 35mm fixed lens, shows a variety of birds descending upon the San Padre National Seashore at sunrise to feed on fishes below the surface of the water. Over 380 bird species inhabit the island but only a few showed at the beach on this beautiful October morning to claim their breakfast.
