This photo was taken at a Star Party in Death Valley National Park in March 2012. The Star Party was being held for the Mars and the Mojave Festival, celebrating the planetary analog research carried out in Death Valley's unique environment. Here visitors are observing Orion's Nebula through a 24" telescope set up by the Las Vegas Astronomical Society.
