"a mural in time"

"A mural is any piece of artwork painted or applied directly on a wall, ceiling or other large permanent surface. A particularly distinguishing characteristic of mural painting is that the architectural elements of the given space are harmoniously incorporated into the picture." (Wikipedia)

If ever a mural harmoniously fit in it's architectural element, this is it! Hiking in the river, coming upon this scene, was one of the most impactful "art" moments of my life. Here, in the Narrows of Zion National Park, this art, is the Creator's own. To suddenly be part of it, is an experience to remember. Accessible only by hiking in the North Fork of the Virgin River, can one be part to this living art. Hiking the Narrows, is a broadly rich experience. Entering the 16 mile canyon from either end, is an immersion into a seldom experienced world, and often into seldom known depths of your own soul. On this visit, my expected views of flowing water beneath towering cliffs, and green oasis's, were appreciatively fulfilled. But this scene overcame my expectations and revealed a new experience. Standing in the rain-caused muddy water, I marveled at the mural before me. The mural has taken eons of time to create, yet is changing in every moment of it's existence.

My belief of a very personal God, Creator, is strengthened by this experience. If your view of a Creator, is something different, your view of the Creator's *power*, would seem to be enhanced as well. We measure much by the things we are blessed to experience.
