During a rest stop at Madison while on the Upper Loop Tour, I decided to skip standing in line and wandered off look for a scenic spot by the river. Little did I know there were two male bison in competition for the favors of a disinterested cow. Guess they didn't get the memo that breeding season is usually wrapped up by late September. Best "side trip" I've ever taken!
