In the sweet light of the late afternoon, a Great Egret stakes out its lush territory and scans the surrounding area for signs of possible competition as it prepares to "fish". Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge is home to many wading birds, there is a lot of competition for the best fishing spots.
