We took our five children under the age of 12 on their first camping trip to Oak Creek Canyon in our gorgeous homestate of Arizona. Upon arrival, we saw these signs posted. That is my 8 year old daughter in the photo. We had a great three days camping and the day we LEFT a forest ranger informed us that it was our exact campsite that bear scat had been found a few days before. We were happy we had had a bear-free visit. Our kids had the best time, but they did take turns looking for bears.
