Lest anyone doubt that things are bigger in Texas, look a little above and slightly to the right of the center of this photo for two to three white dots nestled into the base of the mountains. That's not snow. Those are RVs parked in the campground, about a mile away from the pass seen here that serves as the entryway to the Chisos Mountains Basin.
