A loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta) waiting for a wave to wash him out to sea. He was nice enough to strike a dramatic pose for me while we waited. As I volunteered at the refuge, I can assure you that no turtles were harmed, annoyed, or harassed in the taking of these photos!
