Death Valley, CA. The Racetrack Playa exists in an extremely remote part of Death Valley. Here scattered rocks, sometimes weighing hundreds of pounds, are strewn throughout the dried up lakebed. Many of them rest at the end of a long track, such as the one in this image. The mystery of how these rocks move has been the subject of great debate and theorizing through the years, as they have never actually been observed in motion, but they seem determined to move.
