These photos were taken on two separate trails in Mt. Rainier National Park. The first photo was on the Skyline Trail in July when the last vestiges of snow remained on the trail; we found a quickly-melting snow tunnel that perfectly framed the mountain range in the distance. The second photo was taken at the Mt. Fremont Fire Lookout; our surroundings were quite dry and barren in comparison to the Skyline Trail, but we saw a beautiful bunch of yellow flowers pushing their way through the gray rock. Life finds a way!
