This Photo was taken by my 17-year-old son James Klopp, so here is his story of the photo:
I took this photo on our hike to Double Arch in August, 2025. It was late afternoon so the Sun was starting to set. On our way up to Double Arch, there was a smaller arch in the center of a larger rock formation out to the left of the path we were hiking. As we were passing this formation, a glare was caught in the corner of my eye so I stepped back and noticed the sun shining through the small arch in the rock formation. So I lined up my camera and captured the sun peeking through this arch. It was perfect-timing because the sun lined right up with the small arch. If I were a little bit later or earlier the sun would not have been lined up and I would have missed it. Also, if it were any other season than summer, this shot might not have been possible as the Sun might not have been in the same position in the sky. With that, the photo could be a metaphor for opportunity and to always take chances because they might not last forever.
