Explored the National Historic Railroad District of Alpine Tunnel while exploring Uncompabgre & Gunnison National Forest via side by side. We had the the entire area to ourselves and were so fascinated by the history of the men and women that built the tunnel and maintained it in the harsh winters without modern convenience!
