This was from an afternoon hike up North Sugarloaf mountain in the White Mountains National Forest near Twin Mountain, New Hampshire. It was a perfect "bluebird day" up in the Whites, towards the end of peak foliage season, and Sugarloaf is an popular foliage hike. We expected to be in the company of at least a few other people, but somehow we had the open summit to ourselves. I took a nap on the granite and enjoyed the warm fall sun.
