When I visited Mount Rushmore this past summer, I walked down to the artist studio where the model for the mountain sculpture was created. What came to mind as I peered through the window of the studio, was that it looked as if the model presidents were peering through the window at the finished work of art. They seemed to be engaged in a discussion about the finished memorial for themselves. What would each of those past leaders think of the sculpture as it exists today?
