September 5, 2025 3:00 PM. Glacier National Park was my most norther stop on my solo cross country motorcycle trip from New Jersey. I didn't even think about seeing mountain goats until I arrived in the park. While most people where view goats high in the mountains with telescopes I was fortunate enough to have seen this mother with her two calves near a parking area. At one point they were on the road and walked, too close for comfort, about 30 feet from me, luckily traffic and the goats moved. The other amazing thing about this encounter is that the few people that where in the area highly respected the goats space and stayed far away. Thank god for the zoom capabilities of the iphone pro! Lifelong memories where made!
