I took this photo while walking down the middle of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail. It captures both the trail itself, the trees beside the trail, and the historic D.C. Key Bridge in the distance. It incorporates features which are characteristic of many National Park Service sites: recreational activities (a trail); nature (trees framing the scene); and historical structures (a bridge).
