I took this photo when I happened upon Fletcher's Cove during a walk that followed the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Towpath and Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail from historic Georgetown to the Abner Cloud House. It was the best image of the Lower Potomac River waterfront at the Cove that I was able to get, and it captured the main features of the Cove: tree-lined paths accented by two footbridges.
