This summer I was able to camp at the Dry Tortugas National Park. During the day, it was a joy to walk through and explore the historic fort. In the evening, the sky came alive—countless stars appeared, and the Milky Way lit up the sky. On the walk back to our campsite we were fortunate enough to witness a sea turtle hatch. The trip also gave us a deep appreciation for the dedicated people who work for the National Park Service. We visited many national parks this year and were never disappointed—both the parks themselves and the men and women who protect and serve them were exceptional.
