Parked at the Cannonball Concretions pullout in Theodore Roosevelt National Park North Unit late in the day I saw several bison grazing, but after walking a short distance up the trail, this male sleeping next to the concretions themselves caught my eye. Even after a few minutes watching, he never stirred and slept quite peacefully (although rather loudly breathing).
