On the first day of my first solo trip to my first national park, I took this photo while hiking the Emerald Pools Trail at Zion National Park. This vantage point overlooks the river with the rock formations towering over, showcasing the variety of greens and oranges that make the park so iconic. The detail of the mountains above, foliage below, and river intersecting make this photo one of the most memorable from my trip and it has inspired me to go on additional adventures to capture the feeling again.
