This photo was taken on September 10, 2025 at Fort Pickens while the Navy's Blue Angels were practicing. What was striking to me was the row of apparent retirees who naturally lined up along the shore, one or two at a time to form a row of spectators. The image made me think of how strangers gather together for a common purpose, even if it's only for an hour, and then the shared magic is a memory they each get to keep as they part ways and become strangers again.
