My last day Sequoia National Park, I decided to walk Congress Trail where both of these photos were taken. The photo of the unnamed burned tree in the wildflowers was right off the side of the trail. The tight cluster of trees was called "The Senate," only a short walk apart. I hadn't gotten a satisfying photo my whole trip until this hike. The afternoon light shining through the trees was far more impressive than any photo can capture. Short on time, I had to hop back in the car right after this and drive 4 hours home, but it was well worth it.
