This photo was accidental in that as I snapped the photo of Turk Mountain where we had just hiked I slipped and the sun was included. The afternoon sun should not be directly included in one's photo as the camera lens can be damaged. However the exposure must have been very quick as I can not detect any lens damage. And I liked the way the sun was depicted, and so I submitted it to the contest. Nevertheless, in general do not point your camera at the overhead sun.
