Arches National Park if one of our favorite parks to return to year after year. Even though we've been lucky enough to visit countless times, each visit feels unique and the scenery never fails to surprise us. During our last visit this past October, there had been heavy rains and flash flooding that had made our travels a little dicey, but we thankfully arrived safely and were hopeful that the weather would improve. When we reached Turret Arch shortly before sunset, the rain had finally stopped, but thick clouds continued to block the sun. Then suddenly, for only a few moments, the clouds parted enough to allow the sun to come bursting through. I quickly grabbed my camera and snapped this single image before the clouds closed in again. It was so brief, but oh so beautiful to witness.
