I picked this weekend to go to Lockhouse 49 because of the moonless nights. On the 8/24/25, the skies were exceptionally dark, and more stars appeared than I can remember seeing. I took this shot from the backyard of the Lockhouse. Just think, the family living in the Lockhouse in the 1920s may have been looking at the same stars!
