Took photo in October while on vacation in Death Valley Natl Park. I stayed at Stovepipe Wells village and while there I hiked into the dunes for stargazing and photography. The night sky is amazing in Death Valley and on this night, I was alone underneath this beautiful sky stargazing and photographing the Milky Way and decided to include myself in a photo under the Milky Way. I took several exposures and in one I was fortunate to see a meteor streaking down which is seen to the left of the Milky Way in this photo.
