One of the things I love about visiting Mt. Rainier is that you never know what you might see. I spent a peaceful evening waiting for the stars to align above the mountain, and when I turned around to head back I saw the sky glowing green with the Northern Lights. A totally unexpected surprise that made this a truly unforgettable night.
