Several friends park their folding chairs in the shallow waters of Lake Manly at Badwater Basin in Death Valley, the lowest point in North America. This photo was taken March 12, 2024, a few months after a deluge from Hurricane Hilary hit the park, leaving a few inches of water in the normally dry ancient lakebed.
