Despite 4 million visitors to Acadia National Park in 2024, very few people ever venture up Northeast Creek, a virtually unknown pocket of the park on the north end of Mount Desert Island. Most of the roughly 2-mile tidal creek is in Acadia, interspersed with land managed by the Maine Coast Heritage Trust and the Downeast chapter of the Audubon Society. To me, it's the most beautiful place in Acadia to see the fall foliage.
