This is Kings Creek on a magnificent mid-September (2025) afternoon at Lassen. Despite the burnt and dead trees from the devastating Dixie Fire of 2021 (California's largest, single fire ever) that destroyed almost 70% of Lassen, the stream babbles and rambles on merrily through the resilient landscape and verdant new growth. Life and nature find a way to adapt and thrive toward a more lush future.
