The Sherburne Wildlife Refuge is a staging area for Sandhill Cranes passing through during fall migration. Last year the highest day count was 24,000! There are a few nesting pairs at the refuge. Always a thrill to spot them during the spring and summer. Here is a parent connecting with the chick.
