My husband and I spent the day fishing on Breezy Point Tip on July 4, 2025, which is part of the Jamaica Bay Unit of the Gateway National Recreation Area. We brought a wagon to help us bring our canopy, fishing gear, chairs and cooler from the car because we planned on staying to watch the Coney Island and Macy's firework shows when it got dark. This picture was taken on our long walk back to the parking lot around 10:30 at night...my husband had a forehead flashlight as well as a small light dangling from his fishing pole in the wagon, because it was pitch black. I love this photo because it strikes me as eerie and beautiful at the same time. :)
