With a backdrop of a dramatic winter sky, four tule elk graze on a ridge above Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, the main road into Point Reyes National Seashore. About 315 elk lived in the park at that time. This was taken between heavy rain storms on Jan. 16, 2023.
