While visiting Biscayne Bay NP we took a boat tour to Boca Chita, and passed this lighthouse on the way. While out on the water, a storm front developed and rained on us briefly. The sky was a dramatic backdrop for the Fowey Rocks lighthouse (also in Biscayne Bay NP), which was built in the late 1800's and somehow still stands after weathering more than a century of storms despite its unusual foundation of piers secured to rocks below.
