On our way to Sequoia National Park’s Tunnel Log, we unexpectedly discovered the Parker Group, a cluster of giant sequoia trees named for Captain James Parker, who served as the park's acting superintendent from 1893–1894. These giant sequoias, with their towering heights and massive trunks, were truly awe-inspiring. The sunlight filtering through the canopy highlighted their rich, reddish-brown bark, creating a stunning contrast with the green foliage.
