While traveling back from a trip to the Medora Musical with family visiting from California for a wedding, we stopped at the Painted Canyon Overlook and came upon a large herd of bison who were minding their business and enjoying a little grazing. We minded our business and quietly captured their magnificence and that of the the late summer setting sun against the clouds.
