After 60 years of visiting the Great Smoky Mountains, this past weekend marked the first time I've driven the Roaring Forks Motor Trail. It was delightful! From my car window I snapped this scene from an interesting vantage point of an old log structure. I believe it was a barn of some type. Makes my mind reel from thinking about the challenges early settlers to this area faced while carving out a life and settling a wilderness.
